Saharawi Association of Victims of Serious Violations of Human Rights committed by the Moroccan state (ASVDH) - El Aaiun, Western Sahara - 23/09/2010
Today, 23/09/10, the instructing judge informed the three Saharawi prisoners of opinion incarcerated in Salé prison, that they were no longer being prosecuted by the military court, which had declared itself incompetent.
Brahim Dahane, Ahmed Nassiri, president and council member of ASVDH , Ali Salem Tamek, vice president of CODESA, in provisional detention for over 11 months, were informed that they are no longer prosecuted by the military court as their case does not lie within its expertise.
The charges which were being considered against them: endangering the external security of the country, spying for a foreign state and undermining territorial integrity have been dropped and the case of the prisoners of opinion is in the hands of the public prosecutor and will be heard in the court of second instance in Casablanca.
Four other members of the same group were released several months ago on
bail.

Aujourd'hui 23/09/10, le juge d’instruction a informé les trois Sahraouis prisonniers d’opinion incarcérés dans la prison de Salé qu’ils n’étaient plus poursuivis par le tribunal militaire, qui c’est déclaré incompétent.
Brahim Dahanne, Ahmed Nassiri, président et membre du conseil de coordination de l’ASVDH, Ali Salem Tamek, vice président du CODESA, en détention provisoire depuis plus de 11 mois, ont été informés qu’ils n’étaient plus poursuivis par le tribunal militaire, dont ce n’est pas le champs d’expertise.
Les charges qui étaient retenues contre eux, - atteinte a la sûreté extérieure du pays, espionnage au profit d'un état étranger et atteinte à l’intégrité territoriale - ne sont pas poursuivies, et le dossier des prisonniers d’opinion est entre les mains du procureur général, et passera au tribunal de deuxième instance de Casablanca.
Quatre autres membres du même groupe se trouvent depuis quelques mois en liberté provisoire.
