MINURSO

Général chinois nommé
Le Secrétaire général a informé le Conseil de sécurité de son intention de nommer le général de brigade Zhao Jingmin, de la Chine, au poste de commandant de la Mission des Nations Unies pour l’organisation d’un referendum au Sahara occidental (MINURSO). Il succède au général Kurt Mosgaard, du Danemark, qui termine son mandat aujourd’hui. C’est la première fois que les Nations Unies nomment un Chinois à la tête des forces d’une de leurs missions. Appointment of a Chinese Commander
The Secretary-General has informed the Security Council of his intention to appoint Major-General Zhao Jingmin of China to the post of Force Commander of the UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO).
